Heritage Christian Academy-Home of the Eagles!
About Us Heritage Christian Academy was established as Christian Renewal Academy in 1984 as a ministry to serve families from all denominations who desire a biblically-based quality education for their children. In 2006, the name was changed to Heritage Christian Academy, which more clearly expresses the vision and goals in teaching our students a Christian world view. Today we serve students from over 30 churches here in the Golden Isles. We welcome children of all races, ethnic groups, and religious backgrounds to our school. Our academic curriculum, principles, and moral standards are grounded in the historic Christian faith. We affirm our belief in the Bible as the infallible word of God. Heritage Christian Academy admits motivated, average to superior, college-bound students with no conduct or absentee problems. Students who are admitted to HCA must adhere to the Christian philosophy of education and all policies outlined in the parent/student handbook. The Academy does not discriminate against students of any race, color, nationality or ethnic origin in its admissions, education policies, athletic programs or other school-administered activities.

Registration Blitz and Open House dates set The Glynn County School System will hold a “Registration Blitz” for parents/guardians who are enrolling their child in school in Glynn County for the first time from Wednesday, Aug. 1 through Friday, Aug. 3. The blitz will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day (with extended hours on Thursday, Aug. 2 until 6 p.m.) at the Central Registration Office, which will be permanently relocated to the Risley Annex building at 2900 Albany Street in Brunswick (formerly Risley Early College Academy). The Registration Blitz is only for parents/guardians of children who did not attend public school in Glynn County last year. Parents should bring their child’s certified birth certificate, Social Security card, current proof of immunization (GA Form 3231), a current eye, ear and dental certificate (GA Form 3300), custody documentation (if necessary), current proof of residency and parent/guardian photo identification. To kick off the start of the 2012-13 school year, which begins on Thursday, Aug. 9, public schools will hold Open House events on two days depending on the school grade level. Open House provides parents and students an opportunity to meet teachers and school faculty and to familiarize themselves with school campuses. Parents will also receive important information and documents pertinent to the coming school year. Open House at all middle schools and high schools will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 6. The Golden Isles Career Academy will hold Open House on that date from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to allow parents to visit both the Career Academy and their child's base high school. Open House for all elementary schools, the FACES prekindergarten center and Leaps and Bounds will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 7. Parents will not be able to register students who are new to the Glynn County School System at Open House events. For more information about the Registration Blitz or central registration process, call the Central Registration Office at 912-280-4010. Needwood Elementary School
National PTA President joins Needwood's PTSA! A PTSA Membership Bowl was held on Tuesday, July 30 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the Glynn County Stadium. Needwood Middle School is appreciative of all parents who joined during this event, and encourages all other parents to become active members as the year begins. National PTA President, Otha Thornton, took the time to attend this inaugural event in Glynn County and chose to join Needwood Middle School's PTSA! We are happy to have him as an honorary Warrior who is welcome in our school at any time. Mr. Thornton and Dr. Pulos recognized one another from a time they served together in the Army. We are fortunate both men have chosen to serve our communities through leadership positions that have positive influences on students and families. Go Warriors!

The Christian Montessori School
Your children. Our future. At Lord of Life Christian Montessori School, we cherish and plan for your child’s future. Our primary goal is to assist young children in reaching their fullest potential. We are committed to nurturing the educational and spiritual life of our students on their journey to become lifelong learners. Smaller classes = greater care. From Kindergarten through 6th grade, your child's academic, social, spiritual, and emotional needs will be nourished. With our limited enrollment policy of 120 students, we offer greater personalized attention and care to your child’s education; and smaller student/teacher ratios ensure that your child’s skills and learning abilities will be carefully observed by our experienced educators in an individualized environment. Higher standards CMS stands among the finest educational institutions in the community. While other schools struggle or fail to deliver the quality of education and values you desire for your child, CMS adheres to higher educational standards and Christian principles, and instills the building blocks and foundational truths that will influence your child for life. The reasonable tuition offers a greater value than most private schools in the area. Your child’s future begins at CMS. Our guiding principles are the bedrock upon which CMS is built: Promote and nurture the development of the whole child: physical, emotional, spiritual, social and intellectual. Meet the needs of the individual child through the use of developmentally appropriate practices for early childhood education. Protect the integrity of the Montessori Curriculum. Base our decisions on educationally sound principles (verified through AMI, AMS, NAEYC, etc.) Educate parents about the developing young child and how Montessori enhances a child's natural development. Nurture the child's loving relationship with God through spiritual education and a Christian environment. Promote a respectful nature within each child for the differences and similarities of others. We are committed to supporting competent, responsible, aware, and adaptive students on their journey to become lifelong learners.
